Untitled (Mr Curly)

600mm high x 350mm wide x 400mm deep.Electrical waste, copper, steel and bamboo. Untitled (Mr Curly) is my small sculpture entry into Sculpture Inside, the exhibition of small works which is part of Sculpture By The Sea.This piece is once again made from very tightly tangled electrical cables salvaged from waste collections.With the tip that curls over I have practised creating form without a framework underneath.The title references (as an after thought) the Leunig character who is always, delightfully, one step out of sync with the rest of the world.I experimented with using an aged copper coating applied by Axolotl, the same guys who coated my 2018 work Outlet in Bronze and Eclipse, 2019, in Nickel.
